Dr. Craig McManis (known as Dr. Mac) graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1985. Since that time he has had his own practice and worked in numerous Ophthalmology practices.
Routine eye exams are just a small part of the care offered by Dr. McManis. Have you ever been told you can't wear contact lenses? Many of his patients were previously told this, but today are happy and successful wearers. If you would like a second opinion on this, or many other eye situations, please feel free to schdule an appointment to see what options you may have to correct a problem.
Dr. McManis has worked with many world class ophthalmologists in pre- and post-operative care situations for conditions such as cataract, LASIK, corneal transplants, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and many more. Dr. McManis has significant experience in the medical management of dry eyes, glaucoma, eye injuries, macular degeneration, and most eye disease situations.
Recently, Dr. McManis sold his practice in Lafayette, IN. This was done with great reservation. However, due to changes in the health care industry, the options for small one doctor offices are becoming very limited. After much thought and consideration, Dr. McManis decided that selling the office to the practice of Drs. Evans, Pickett, and Finney of Lafayette (also with offices in Attica and Covington) was the best option. At this time, Dr. McManis has relocated to the suburbs of Cleveland, OH to practice. As the economy improves and job opportunities allow, Dr. McManis plans to return to practice in either a medically oriented Optometry practice or an Ophthalmology practice. Only time will tell when, or even if, this opportunity will ever come to exist, but for now, the people he works with and community he lives in are very nice. |
